As a Canuck fan I would have to say that there certainly are a few good Swedes out there but Canada still rules the roost when it comes to producing the top hockey players. See you in Vancouver in 2010!

Right now Canada has by far the best players in the world. The 3 best in the NHL are Canadian (Crosby, Lecavalier, Thornton...yes Thornton)

Sweden plays a different style, Swedish players tend to have better skills and less heart than Canadian players. Canada has more players in the NHL by a large margin. There might be more to it than geography.

Not really. But there are really good players like Henrik Zetterberg, Mats Sundin, Daniel Alfredsson and the best (King) Henrik Lundqvist

No, that would be a tie between Canada, and Russia. The US, Sweden, Finland, Czech, and Slovakia are up there though.

They did win Olympic gold last year. Sundin, Lundquist, Alfredsson, the Sedin's . . . Yup, they know how to make 'em. But nothing compares to Canada. Ahh, Crosby our little NHL poster child!
