If I decided to go to medical school, I know I would have to take a lot of math and science, but how difficult is it? I work very hard in school and I could get through it, but right now in school I don't really like math, but I enjoy biology a lot. Once again, I'm good at writing, but I tend to talk myself out of things because I'm afraid I will fail. So can I be successful as a premed student and not be a genius in math and science?

The math is quite intense.

Calc 1 + 2 are generally required as is statistics

And you will be using that math in your Chemistry and Physics courses which are also required.

Pre-med and medical school demand very strong math and science skills, and a student must have a high GPA consisting of all As and Bs (predominately As). Getting a C in pre-med is unacceptable, but in medical school it is considered to be a failing grade.
You may want to consider clinical psychology, physical therapy, or speech pathology. Not only are the hours better, PT and ST require less schooling. There is science involved, particularly neuroanantomy and physiology, orthopedics, and biology. Writing is used more commonly than in medicine (unless you do research).
