More like a young Mcnabb or Mcnair than a Vick, but.

People would say that Vikings being 6-6 is a poor thing, but what surprised me untill I heard the news in the Lions game last week was that Jackson is 6-2 as a starter. For Vikings fan and I, those stats had to surprise me quite a bit. Sports analysis are saying he's maturing, and other fans might say it as well.

Your thoughts on Jackson?

I'm a Vikes fan - have been one since my family moved to MN from CA when I was seven.

I just don't know... He seems to be gaining some awareness in the pocket, which was my major concern. His arm is very strong and also accurate. Decision-making may be an issue...

He was just thrown in too early. Maybe Childress got it right. In that case, I'll be the first to say I was wrong.

You are correct that TJ is 6-2 this year as a starter, but he's averaging 138 yrds/game passing and has 5 tds to 7 ints. There are better guys out there. But they did spend a 2nd round pick on the guy so he'll be the starter as long as the wins come.

He's a marginal QB with a talented RB behind him. He still has more INTs than TDs, a poor QB rating, barely 1,000 yards in passing. He's been effect at times simple because of Peterson. I doubt if he is a long term solution for Minnesota at QB.

probably. yet till the Vikings can get a competent #one million WR, he will by no skill be something close to to sturdy. they have terrible WRs. they might desire to look to characteristic WRs in next years draft. Their protection is what is going to shop them in video games this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. And he DEFITNLY would not have a similar speed of Vick. Vick is loopy speedy whilst Jackson can run yet no the place close to how briskly Vick can.

Honestly, I do not like Jackson. I'll probably get a lot of crap for this, but I don't think he's THAT good. Sure, he knows how to hand a football to Chester Taylor or Adrian Peterson, and his occasional bombs have been impressive, but I don't want to see hand-off after hand-off...show me what you're really made of!!

No. He's looking good right now because of Adrian Peterson. It certainly doesn't hurt a QB when he's got the best RB in the NFL on his team.

Yes. This kid has it all, not only can he throw but he can run. The pressure isn't always on him as it is with most rookie quarterbacks so he has plenty of time to develop. Watch out for this guy in the next couple seasons.
