I can't find these answers in my notes..please help!
Tetonic plates that move apart most likely are located along

Convection is movement of heat, so the answer to A should be obvious from that.

For B, the movement of hot melted rock (magma) is in the mantle. It may rise from near the core. That is a little trickier the way they worded it, but I would say "A" on that one also.

Not to dispute Now and Then but I would say 'mantle" for the 2nd question.

Unfortunately middle and high school Earth Science classes ask oddly worded and sometimes inaccurate questions. From my experience as a teacher, I would say they are looking for D, especially if they have been talking about magma chambers in the crust. I could be wrong, so you might want to refer to your notes or text.
