hi,just got a laptop off ebay,very nice but when you go to get the @sign its not there,you have to press shift and the number 2 ,how do i change it back please ,other signs are wrong as well .thank you.

Make sure the language of the keyboard is set to the correctly.

Click on Start, then go to Control Panel.
Switch the view to Category View (top left of screen).
Double-click on Regional and Language Options.
On the Regional Options tab - Choose English (United Kingdom) from the drop down list.
In the space that says Location (further down the same page) choose United Kingdom.
Click on the Advanced tab (at the top of that same dialog box). In the drop down box, choose English (United Kingdom).
Click OK.
That's it, you're done.

You need to change the keyboard layout.. You will need to know which layout suits you and change to it..
