--"and crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea," ( America) Yes, terribly sad, and in the US its becoming everyday news. After the mall slaughter I sadly predicted to myself that there would be more copy cat killings, but I hope they don't come in "threes." However this type of event has been going on for years. It seems to me that after the political assassinations of the 1960's the country got more violent. Most of us watch TV, and between viewing events in Iraq and countless glorified murders on the small screen killing others may have lost its onus. For some the line between reel and real life is blurred. The killer can go out in a "blaze of glory" assured of his place in media history.

This might not be happening so much, if the "good guys" were allowed to carry guns. The headline might read 'One Wounded, Gunman Killed", instead.

its because in the states under one of their stupid amendments is all citizens are allowed by law to bear arms. as long as the weapon isnt concealed its totally legal for me to walk into a k-mart and buy shells for a shotgun while i wait for my latte.
friggin madness! i work in construction and use a thing called a hilti-gun its a nail gun that uses .22 remington cartridges. i'm glad where i am its so heavily regulated.

There is still an investigation. It's snowing, and there's already an inch or two of snow on ice in the sidestreets... I doubt they'll find this guy.
At least they'll be hailed as martyrs!
oh wait...

It happens a lot in America due to the liberal gun laws. It is soon forgotten until the next time when all the old platitudes are wheeled out again.
