I had oil and filter changed at auto machanic shop, and noticed after checking day after that it was about quarter of an inch above full mark. It says in manual not to overfill, will it bo ok just slightly over full mark?

1/4 inch is not a lot. if checked cold....u should b ok

It's a pretty simple deal to partially loosen the oil pan drain cap screw and using a funnel drain off a quart inside an empty plastic quart oil can. Watch the clear stripe on the side as you drain to be sure not to cause a mess.

It would be better to have it removed.If not the air filter will get dirty in no time by oil fumes
