I am putting on a Christmas-y themed concert / gig tomorrow night. I need about an hour and a half worth of material. Its just a one man show, just me on my guitar.
I reckon I do have enough material to keep me going, but to be on the safe side, I would like to get to know some more.

My question to you good people is:

In your opinion, what song / songs do you believe would go down well?? (Preferably a song that everyone can sing along to, one that everyone knows) Also it doesnt have to be a christmas song as I have a load of them nailed already. It just has to be something popular and lively.

My family loves to party on christmas, usually we listen to music from a cd though. Sweet Caroline (neil diamond) can be a really fun party sing along, but Id save something like that for the end, so everyone can get comfortable. Id check out some popular christmas cd's they generally have the same songs but it could give you a better idea about what people want to listen to.

Try Chuck Berry's "My Ding-a-Ling. Most everyone knows the song and even if they don't it takes 2 seconds to learn. Have the Girls sing the first part of the chorus and the boys sing my ding-a-ling. Have fun with it.
