Ice skating. I haven't attempted since about '95 and I'm self-taught. And, I do not fall! Yay!
It all started about '89. A bunch of us that went to HS and/or University together would gather at a friend's home to celebrate New Years. The following morning (hungover from clubbing/celebrating) someone asked what we would like to do after breakfast. I jokingly said we should go ice skating. Only three out of about twelve of us could ice skate, but everyone decided we should try. I had never tried before.
What followed was a tradition for a few years, complete with howls of laughter.
Sorry, didn't mean to tell you a sliver of my life story, but oh well...

Ice skating = fun exercise :)
I always have the worst time trying to build snowpeople where I live because we don't get the best snow. I think the best I have done (ever) was a snow deer and it was just a pile of snow with branches for antlers and rocks for eyes.

To be honest, I think I would probably rather spend the afternoon inside out of the cold....but you probably knew that! If that is not an option, I think I would probably say building a snow person might be more fun for me.

My ankle's pretty messed up from too many sprains in my younger days, and skating hurts too much when you fall. (Skiing was another story, used to love to ski).
I would likely WATCH the kids build the snow dude from my window these days! LOL
Now take my on a nice wagon or horse and carriage ride *Ha!* you have to go up into the country for that! now that would be my cup of tea....or a nice fire outside at someone's cottage on a nice clear winter night roasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolates with a little *spice* to warm you up! Snow dude and snowball fight would be rightfully in order up there.

I'd bust my @ss skating, and I swim like a rock, so I think I'd stick to building a snow dude!
