Aleve is a non-said medication (naproxyn sodium) for relief of pain. It's good for muscle pain, swelling, etc, but not so much for headache and fever. Aspirin and acetaminophen are better at those things.

The word you want is relieve. There's no real word like aleve. You can alleviate someone's pain, meaning to lessen it.

without lookin it up I don't know, but

alleviate means to raise,to take away some restriction,(such as pain) remove some constraining factor, and I believe is a more commonly used word. To me off the top of my head alleve is a TM brand name for an OTC pain reliever
