Hanna Montana (whoever she is). For those who remember Bugs Bunny, Wiley Coyote, Fred Flinstone, Yosemite Sam, and Foghorn Leghorn, and shows like I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island, and Get Smart, do you agree with me??? And their also being brainwashed with Hanna Montana music and whatever this High School Musical thing is, I remember being brought up on The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Turtles, Tommy James and the Shondells, The Yardbirds....you know, real music. It disgusts me how opsessed these kids are with Hanna Montana and Miley Cyrus (again, whoever they are).

What you are saying is not fair to those that actually like those singers. I personally do not, but still. People these days just don't like The Beatles and other classics. Most people though love the older cartoons, but they hardly ever come back on TV. Most of these cartoons are reserved on the Cartoon Network's TV time called Boomerang, this is a time on the network where they only show old cartoons like the Flinstones, and others.

You may think that today's kids are being brainwashed, but it is just because the society today is different from when you were a kid. What you liked, most of your parents didn't, the same goes for today and a lot of kids are getting tired of being ridiculed about what they watch. Let them have fun and enjoy being young!

man im right with you. Im 17 myself in highschool I cant tell you how many times I think to myself about the crap people are listening to. I myself grew up on punk music and alot of rockabilly stuff. It is sad to see how easily influenced kids are.

every generation has it's own music and they spit on the last one. that is why they invented earphones.thank heavens. what really ticks me off is folks who blast music out of their cars or at public places (anywhere where you are stuck HAVING TO LISTEN). what on earth gives them the idea that EVERYONE will love their music? actually i don't think they think at all, period

For every generation of music that occurs, there will be the older generation of people who despise it, and the younger generation of people who love it.

Music changes with time, and it always will. The music you grew up on is still available on CD's. Don't worry about what kids today are listening to pertaining to kids' music. (I only worry when young children are listening to music laden with sex, drug and gang activity).
