1. The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein ever since the days of Operation Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized, ridiculed and humiliated for "not finishing the job" and ousting Hussein at that time. That's the only reason George W. Bush was selected to be President;
2. Dick Cheney coveted all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands;
3. The giant U.S. military-industrial complex [which Dwight Eisenhower warned us about] needed to boost its sagging profits after too many years of peace.

So, a 'terrorist attack' was staged, public emotions ran high, and Bush lied to Congress, hoodwinked the American public and conned our valiant U.S. troops into believing there was honorable purpose in attacking a sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States.

675,000 Iraqis and 3,900 U.S. soldiers have sacrificed their lives so that a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists, oil barons and power brokers can become wealthier and more powerful.

The #1 non-military 'benchmark' Bush insists on is that the Iraqi Parliament surrender two-thirds of Iraq's oil fields to foreign oil corporations, virtually allowing Exxon-Mobil and others to STEAL Iraq's most valuable economic resource.

The Carlyle Group and Halliburton are two of the largest government contractors for the Iraqi 'war'. BOTH corporations have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House. Is anyone still naive enough to actually believe this is all just a 'coincidence'?? Both firms have made billions from this insipid 'war' - and then Halliburton has the audacity to relocate its corporate headquarters offshore to avoid paying U.S. taxes!!

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and all their war-mongering friends deserve a special oil-soaked, blood-spattered corner of Hell where they can rot for eternity, along with:
535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, wicked, incompetent, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led Congress that watched Bush run rip shod over our Constitution
-AND-
535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, wicked, incompetent, cowardly, corupt Democratic-led Congress that promised to end this vile 'war' if elected, and - to date - has done absolutely nothing to keep that promise.

MAY GOD DAMN THEM ALL!!! -RKO- 12/09/07

Oh Noam...

1) Biggest possible effect for smallest effort... Bush could use the Shock and Awe from Afganhistan and extend it across the borders.

2) Most available excuses... nukes, Hussein, etc

3) Oil/Rebuilding contracts

4) Crucial place to spread american values in the Middle East.

1. It was revenge on Sadam Hussein because of his daddy -- as Sadam didn't like his daddy much....
2. Because he decided to go with what he wanted to believe (WMDs) even though none were found.
3. Because he truly believed we'd "win" -- whatever that means -- they didn't attack us.
4. He's a horrible man, our president.
