All those qualities would seem to me to be qualities that would or should be essential attributes of immortality. If by immortality you simply mean duration in time, to live endlessly in a finite universe-- you can keep it. That's not an immortality worth having, it's a nightmare.

Knowledge applied is power. Having the knowledge of my existence, my reason for being here, and where I am as well as where I am going then....I would have to say that I would embrace all of the above and surrender none of them.
I am a Christian. I already know that life is eternal, and that immortality is in my soul. It has been since the minute of my conception.
I would not give up anything on your list because my faith has already secured immortality with God in His kingdom. It is the Christ Jesus that has prepared a place for me there and I will not surrender the freedom He has given me for something I already have. "Immortality".
It isn't the same as the populace would like to think but then the populace seems to believe that we all have a soul, a spirit. That is not the case.
It is the spirit that has a body. The body we all have now is the only body our spirit will ever hold. Our spirit resides for now in our bodies and when we die the spirit goes on forever. Where it goes on to, is our decision in the here and now. My decision has been to place the welfare and well being of my spirit into the hands of the Messiah. Jesus the Christ.
Having this knowledge I share it with you and perhaps you will apply it as well. You will have the power of a sweet immortality.
God bless and take care.

I am immortal. This old body that houses my soul and spirit will return to dust but I will be raised to a new body. As a child of God I will spend eternity in Heaven. I am given FAITH and everything else I need by the grace of God.

Beauty. This seems to be completely incomprehensible in our superficial day and age, but beauty is the thing which can be lived without even without the boon of immortality.

in order to answer, one would have to believe they are not immortal
perhaps if you defined what you meant by immortal, do you mean staying in this body one is in now, living /continuing to live this lifetime forever?
if that is meant, then yes i could see a choice
for those who think in terms of the spirit/soul living forever, it wouldnt mean immortality, it would just mean staying here in this place we are now, in this body, and not many would want that, forever
plus, you list giving up the spirit as a choice, how could one live without their spirit? that is what makes you ,, you , and ties you to the force of life
