I live in Colombia, and my cable company has decided to discontinue Fox News Channel. Fox has been replaced by a comedy channel. (Apparently only about 150 people watch Fox here on a regular basis)
(My blood pressure has stabilised lately, I have to add, but I miss the comedy value)
Should I be disappointed or happy?

Hey 'Wise one'
Colombia can teach the US how to run elections, and how to elect good leaders.
President Uribe is NOTHING like Chavez.
Bush is more like Chavez. 'Rule through fear'.
Bush: The terrorists are coming!
Chavez: The Gringos are coming!
Same nation, same tribe.

If you care at all about Britney Spears' latest hijinks, you should be disappointed. Without Fox, you'll find out about her twenty minutes later than the rest of the world. Otherwise, I see no cause for alarm.

I think you should be disappointed. I hate Fox and it's far right spin but you've gotta hand it to them; they sure know how to pull in the ratings. This matters because what Fox broadcasts reflects a large cohort of opinion in the US. Being able ot receive it abroad can therefore help foreigners understand where some Americans get their "fair and balanced" views from. If it's taken off the international airwaves well then....

Hey, you choose to remain uninformed, that's your option. I think you should be happy now that there's nothing being shown to you that will cause you to actually think for yourself. By the way, if Columbia so freakin' great, why are we finding thousands of Columbians here?

i would only miss hbo and showtime for their series. the rest of the channels could all take a hike with their commercials and ratings wars. cnn and the premium channels and that's all folks.

You should be disappointed. Fox News always has two sides of the story. I don't know why Colombia would drop them.
