Any kind of good quality grease that is labeled for use in CV joints is fine. It must be able to withstand high temperatures and extreme pressure

the only time you do anything with the cv joint is when you rebuild them and when you buy a replacment boot they should come with the grease to make the repair. Before doing a cv joint repair check the cost of a reman half shaft as most can be had for around $100.000 wich makes it not worth the time or the mess to replace parts on a bad one

They come lubricated, and then covered with a rubber seal. If the seal fails, there is dirt in the CV joint and it needs to be replaced with a new, lubricated and sealed, unit.

A CV joint is enclosed by a rubber boot. You can't lubricate them, they have it already in the boot from new.
