The beginning of the 40th week starts at week 39 day 1. Just like you're a year old AFTER you complete your first year of life, not the day you are born.
Its a whole 40 weeks. The day you hit 40 weeks you have completed a pregnancy that is 40 weeks long.

Many pregnancies do not last for exactly 40 weeks and it is quite often that the actual pregnancy due date is longer than this by up to two weeks.

Due dates are the whole 40 weeks... But this date can come earlier if that's what the baby wants!
- Good luck to you and many, many blessings!

They are a whole week. So once you have reached the end of your 39th week, add 7 days. I don't know, but this due date calculating and figuring out how far along you are is so confusing!!
I hope this helps and good luck!!!
