I would think that a stranger staring at me for minutes on end needs some major help. Any sane person would not go to such lengths as to staring at a complete stranger, no matter the gender.

I've had lots of these so-called stares, over the years, and somehow, it never ceases to amaze me as there continue to be plenty of loose nuts and bolts in society. If you look over at the person, you'll reinforce it and the stares will last much longer, or worse, the eye contact could escalate to verbal contact. Therefore, the very best thing that you can do, and I know that this seems cliche, is to completely ignore it.

I can't say I like it, but I'm used to it. I go through life imagining that someone's always watching. It keeps me on my toes.

Sometimes when I know I'm being watched, I'll pick my nose and look right at the person doing the staring. I mean, isn't that the kind of thing they're hoping to see?

My absolute favorites are the numbskulls who think that wearing black shades means they can turn their whole head to stare at you and you won't know. I mean, the idea is to just use your eyes, right? Either way, you can tell when you're really being looked at.

EDIT: Ha, Ha PG. Smoking is a filter? Good one. :D

No I don't, and yes it does. It's freaky and RUDE. If they want to flirt there are ways to do that. You don't just stare a person down. I am majorly creeped out when guys do this.

It even happened on my honeymoon. My husband and I were waiting our turn to go parasailing. This weird guy had his eyes glued to me. We ended up not going because I was afraid to get on the boat with him. Even with my big husband staring at him back, holding me tight, it was too weird.

I'm a magnet for these types. I don't know why. I don't dress provocatively or act in a manner that attracts attention, nor am I shy or scared looking. I'll tell them to stop! It just happens and yes, it's weird.

Not long stares but little short ones are fine.
People take notice of good looking people and the socially stupid ones tend to stare longer than is acceptable.
Try lighting up a cigarette, this seems to turm people off and maybe he will be one of them. Being a smoker is a good way to filter people.

all the time if i go out or being in crowd, some people like to stare at me, and i can't stand it, but over time i come to a conclusion, that if they stare at me cos i am good looking then good, if they think i am like a freak or weird, good also, at least i am diffrent!
haha..

depends on the motive of the person staring at me,
if it's an attractive young man, yes I would like it.
A jealous somebody, yes I would flip.

If a girl stares at me... I don't like it so much. But if she looks at me like she can't help it, and I catch her sneaking looks (very different than staring) then I might really like it :)
