Okay so my parents are divorced and i already asked my mom for an ipod touch and one movie. My dad however i have no idea what to ask him for. He doesnt really know what kinda clothes to get me so i need to think of something for him to get me, or i will end up with a bunch of clothes or something that i dont like lol. I have a laptop, my brother has a ps3 and xbox 360, i just got a new camera for my birthday. I really dont know what to ask for. Usually he spends a good amount of money too so anything you have in mind would be great. He just keeps bugging me what i want for christmas and i have no idea! lol

thanks!

If there is nothing you need ask him to start a college fund for you.
if he's done that, then show how grown up you've become and say you want to give toys or food to the needy and go to the mall and adopt a family then shop with him for things for them. Then you can bond and show maturity thru recognizing you don't need anything and you'd like to share with those that do. You could both go deliver the goodies to the family and that brings a lot of joy.

When I was 17 or 18 I asked my parents for a rocking chair. I took it to college with me and still have it 40 years later. My dad sat in a hundred of them to find the right one or so my mom told me. I had three kids and rocked them to sleep in it, I sit in it to watch TV now and wouldn't part with it. I have painted it and bought new cushions through the years. It lasted way longer than clothes or a cell phone would.

Divorced or not has nothing to do with it.
At 17, you should be old enough to ask them for a list of things that you can do for them and in turn learn how not to be self absorbed and greedy.
Your parents or anyone else for that matter don't owe you a gift.
The meaning of Christmas has obviously never been taught to you.

You could always ask for some power tools and you could bond with you more by showing you how to use them. Nothing wrong with a girl who has power tools.

A nice charm bracelet that you would wear whenever you see him.
Remember parents are sensitive tho' some may not act like it.

why not ask him to donate to the humane society in your name or something like that. it seems like you pretty much have everything you could need or want already. the things you have are fun sure, but donating will make your heart happy.
