i cannot answer that about premture labour as its obvious there are no signs or we would be able to stop more of them , at 24 weeks you feel tightening in the abdomen as your womb becomes even more stretched and should not cause you any discomfort these can feel like period pains,

signs of labour differ from mother to mother but on adverage , you can have show, a pinkish discharge, if red go to hospital asap, your waters breaking and huge gush of clear like fluids, you can even rupture them where you only have a trickle you should go to the hospital asap with either, severe back, lower pain witht the tightening of the stomach (contractions) these come every 5 6 7 mins and if the they lower like 2 3 4 got to the hospital, there are loads of other signs yahoo them

To be honest ..I don't think you will have any doubts when it happens .Lower back pain or lower abdominal pain coming in waves at even time intervals, the breaking of your waters ,can be a sudden flood or a slow trickle like you are weeing yourself! these are the usual indicators but if you are healthy and everything is proceeding as it should I wouldn't worry so much.Enjoy being pregnant!

Regular contractions ( occurring regularly but increasing in intensity)
Water breaking

As a general rule for myself, I call the doctor if I am feeling something that I question if it's normal. That way I get peace of mind.
Good luck to you and enjoy your pregnancy!

Don't worry about it. Just keep going to your check-ups, if they're satisfied I'm sure it'll be fine.
Cramping would be early signs, followed by regular contractions.
