go with what the owner's manual says and stick to one type of gasoline brand(i use Shell gas station only). Once in a while, fill up the tank with a higher octane. this keeps your car running smooth. I do this with my 03 Lancer OZ 2.0l.

87 octane. 93 octane does not burn better. It has an additive to keep the gas from pre- igniting and pinging on acceleration which can damage an engine.

Go with 1 tank of premium every couple of tanks. Better gas def makes cars run better though in my opinion.
