I'm on birth control. On my previous pill pack, I skipped the inactive pills and went straight to my next pack. About the second week of that new pill pack, I had spotting which lasted 6-7 days, so it was almost like a period, although not quite as heavy. I am starting the inactive pills of the pack, and I was wondering: Since I had so much spotting a weeks or so ago, will I still have a "period" like I normally would on the inactive pills?

Irregular bleeding and spotting are regular side effects of birth control pills. How ever you should still have your period during your inactive week.

I am betting you will have a period on the inactive pills. It may be light though. Did you ask your Dr if you could skip your inactive pills? If not shame shame shame :) I did it all the time without discussing it with my Dr and the next time I had my yearly I had all kinds of problems, I had lumps in my breast, a cyst on my ovaries......scared me to death but once I got chewed out and lectured by my Dr and I started taking my bc pills the prescribed way everything cleared up. Be careful. If you dont want to have a period as often there are bc pills out there that are made that way and I am sure is alot safer.
