is there a way to get a degree while working full time?
i live in the UK and work full time, i am aware that you can do evening courses at your local colleges at City and Guilds level but can you get A-levels/degrees by working from your home PC or reading books etc??

Sounds like the Open University is the way for you! Check it out, you can take more years to complete the modules you need to build your degree, so giving you time to work full time and they offer loads of course and are internationally recognised.

I do an Open University course (www.open.ac.uk) which I do in my own time and go to tutorials ever month or so...I also work full time and although u have to be strict with yourself and make yourself study rather than have a teacher telling you all the time I have found it a lot more convienant then leaving everything for campus based uni!

full time university is only 12 hours in lectures and seminars, in the first year. 6 in the second and third years. most of the hours are self research and study. so if you can move a few hours about you can do both.
i have been for the past 3 years, i am tired now but in my final year and looking forward to my career!
good luck.

Yes, many accredited State Univesities, have online classes along with online degrees. Also many of them have outreach schools where certain degrees can be obtained, via online, local community colleges, or video classes. Maybe look up your local university and research or ask about an outreach school.

Open University is the best but other Universities do the distant learning too. look up the best Uni for your chosen subject and then ask them if they do distant learning.

if you can do it part time then it's probably of very limited value in some 'soft' subject.
