Yes, it's possible. Depends on how they are setup. If they have firewall rules based on ip ranges or subnets then of course but you don't know for sure. Some companies also run things like firewalls and proxy servers in parallel so they can poing all the users computers to the firewalls but the IT guys can circumvent it so they are not monitored. I would do a port scan with an OS fingerpint and look for a router. You might try runing ipconfig /all against an IT dept computer using a remote tool like psexec but you'll need admin rights on their box

This is considered 'Hacking' and if you do it they will come looking for you take your computer away, arrest you, put you in jail for a while, you will meet 'Bubba' who will make you his/her 'go for'. and the worst part is you will be labeled a computer hacker, and the courts normally take your rights/ability to own or use a computer away from you for X number of years or forever. Sometimes you also have to pay for the damages you caused to the school or company computer system. If you have talent and have figured out how to get into some school or company computer system start a computer security business and use your talent for good. The pay is a lot better and you won't be 'Bubba's' go for and you can continue using your computer. This will make your life a lot better.

not all filters block get entry to to particular web pages. some are greater beneficial than others - yet no filter out is optimal. colleges many times use filters as a potential to help save scholars off irrelevant web pages. does not blame the instructor the two - scholars could be very rapid and sneaky approximately traveling web pages without instructor information. I even have seen some colleges wherein scholars have UNSUPERVISED get entry to to the internet - and positioned finished faith interior the filters they have paid for to dam something irrelevant. of direction, this does not artwork.
