Do you think that maybe someday
just someday you can be in her audience and get that free refrigerator with built in tv.
And when you get that free dream house from her(which corporate sponsors give to her for advertisement), will she pay your property taxes also?

I think Oprah genuinely cares about mankind and is doing her best to help educate people. It's not about a free refrigerator.

Someone brought up jealousy and you brought up "fatness." This is all very schoolyardish... personal attacks? C'mon now don't embarrass yourself.

When you get a gift you do not have to accept it. Most often in situations like Oprah's giveaways the receivers get tax information and can make an informed decision.

How is it you know what she gives away? Do you watch her show? That would seem odd given your jealousy and anger. Then again, you MUST watch her show because otherwise you would be making a lot of assumptions... and what would even bring all this to your mind?

I guess to answer your question I'd say that to my knowledge she is doing a lot more for humanity than you are (although I don't know that for sure... just a hunch based on the way you present this issue.) Does she care about ME? Well, she doesn't know me, but should she be thinking about me specifically? No. Don't worry, Love. Oprah doesn't want you to be green with envy... let it go.

Oprah has more money then she will ever need in a lifetime or two - and that's what she cares about. She really doesn't care about the "little people" or people in America. Why didn't she build a school for poor black girls in New York, or her own Chicago? Don't these people realize how many starving, under privileged kids we have right here in the USA - why do they take millions over to Africa and spend it there? I don't get it.

i believe she has good intentions or wants to do good but i also think such actions have more to do with her image than anything else.oprah is the richest black woman in america prob the world, if she didnt give back in some way ppl would have alot to say, and she could probably lose viewers and fans as a result. she does alot for alot of ppl and i guess at the end of the day that is all that matters, it doesnt matter if she really care but it matters that she cares enough to give back. i was really happy she built the school for girls in africa actions like that will go along way for not only those girls but their country as well. as for giving ppl cars and homes etc. isnt it enough that she gave ppl things that they probably couldnt afford. couldnt they jus sell it to gain money. i mean if a family living in a trailer park is given a house shouldnt they jus be grateful. oprah is under no obligation to give anything to anyone much less pay the taxes on the items she's given.

Oprah cares... about making more money in reality. Think of it this way: that all girls academy she built in Africa for the young women whose families have been affected by AIDS - do you honestly think she wouldn't have received payment for the stories surrounding this? And the orphans she visits in third world countries and gives XMAS pressies and what not? You can guarantee she's receiving payment somewhere along the line for such acts... needless to say, she isn't the saint some like to believe she is!

Oprah could have retired a long time ago if she wanted to. She certainly has enough money. But...she chose to build an Academy for girls in Africa, is helping Obama to campaign, continues to do good work and inform the public on her show of things we might not otherwise know. Oprah is a decent person and genuinely cares about others.

Absolutely not! How can she care about me when she doesn't even know me from Adam/Eve. She probably would even say so as she tries to help many, but I dunno about her anymore. If she so humble than why does she make such a big todo about showing a glimpse of her $50 million dollar home on her show every now & then?!? I think she has the right idea in her ideas for good causes, but I think the only one she's out for is herself number one. I like Oprah, don't get me wrong, but I'd love to have it out with her & tell her a thing or 2!!! OMG I really get irked with her!

No. Not me, specifically. I think Oprah really does care about people. She's an American success story, and she tries to give back, but does she care about issues which concern or affect me? Probably not so much.

I really seriously think that all those gifts at the end of the year are tax right off. She probably needs to make so many charitable donations for she will not be responsible for high paying taxes. Just right it off Oprah. As for caring honestly "NOPE!" It just makes you wonder huh ?

No I personally think all Oprah cares about herself and how she looks to the public. She got that school but I think that just to show that she can give as well as take which she isn't to me.
