Yeah, have you heard that feminism is the cause of global warming, too? Feminism is also the cause of all natural disasters; hurricanes, earthquakes..

the wage gap exists for many reasons, but not discrimination,. heres an example. of all the girls I went to college with very few studied finance or economics etc.. things that would have entitled them to higher paying jobs. They also did not try to get internships in the summer that would have led to this type of jobs. I had three, and in each case only 10% of the applicants or less were women. the women who were career focused towards higher pay went on to get the same jobs as their male counterparts, but of that small percent most quit after getting married. In companies like this it takes 20+ years to reach your peak earning potential, BUT THAT is true of most fields. You have to take a closer look at the figures within the figures. what positions, and how much experience in each case. In business and in corporation the bottom line is all that matters. Thats the essence of any corporation. Profit first. If a women is important to a company then she will get paid what she deserves just like a man. Deserves in a free market economy ;ike ours means the most the market will offer. The market does not know the difference between men and women.

I'd love to know what the feminist double standard is!

These crimes aren't new in the US - they are still pretty rare elsewhere. I am sure that there are young men who hate women just as much in England as they do in the US, but we rarely have spree killings, and in fact the only one I can think of (Hungerford) was not very young. There is evidence that men become more violent when they feel threatened by women, but they tend to take that out on specific women ie wives etc. I think that the spree killer is very different from your regular misogynist.

It has nothing to do with feminists. It has to do with young people who are mentally and emotionally ill, and they are unable to handle the kinds of problems, rejections and pressures that many of us can handle. The kid in Omaha was mentally ill and he had lost his job, his girlfriend and his family in a short timespan. He should have had SSI for his mental disability and got his own place while getting therapy and possibly medications. When these troubled teens 'snap' they commit these horrible crimes. They feel deeply worthless, unwanted and unloved. They assume that they'll never be wanted or amount to anything, so they sometimes commit these outrageous crimes before taking their own lives. They figure, why not leave a mark in the world - even if it's an infamous one.

Every time some hater out here has gas, he blames feminists! Come on, now - get real.

Not so much the gender war in my opinion. I think that alot of it stems from personal choices which have backfired as well as choices made by those around them that have affected the boys negativley.

What I have noticed during my time at High School, finished thank god, that depression was quite a big thing among guys.

I know from experience that some of that depression can be caused by the way the girls view the guys and how alot of them just go for looks and popularity. That problem of course goes both ways. It is unfortunate that such a small thing causes such a problem in society but it happenes.

You could blame society, but ultimatley its a choice.

I believe a survey was done a little while ago, had to reasearch it for a project on mental states, which stated that most teenage suicides are depressed Teenage Males. I know this isnt directly answering the question but I belive it has relevance.

No! I think it has a great deal to do with the lack of funding both federally and locally for mental health assistance. And the lack of medical insurance to obtain assistance for those who are suffering from mental illness. That young man snapped, there were many cry for help and no one heard him or was able to assist him. And he snapped, unfortunately he directed his anger toward innocent individuals and now has devastated the lives of many others... A mentally stable individual would not have done what he did. In the end he got all of and then some of he attention he was seeking. God bless****

Wow!! Feminists really are the new "whipping boy"... So now males shoot people and it's feminists' fault???????

EDIT: Actually my 82 year old Mum thinks it's because of the over-emphasis on success in US society, with people being called "loser" all the time. I think it's also partly to do with the sick desire for fame - the guy apparently wrote that he wanted to be famous. Unfortunately these things happen so often that he'll be forgotten quite soon except by his victims' families and friends...

No. Boys are shooting up schools because they have mental health problems.

If girls were shooting up schools, it would be for the same reason.

I heard the European Space Agency's failure to successfully land the Beagle craft on Mars was, in fact, the fault of feminism. Those engineers didn't have wives willing pick their dirty underwear up off the floor and wash it, so they were distracted from their work because they were forced to wear dirty, itchy underwear.

At first people with mental issues had no rights. They now have too many rights to the detriment of society. Perhaps we could install some balance between the two.
