NO NO NO.......the American Red Cross collects and distributes blood EXCLUSIVELY in the United States.
There are blood drives ALL the time.right? That's because there is never enough blood on hand in this country, let alone a surplus to send overseas!
Geez........it's not only an urban legend, but another excuse for people not to take responsibility for their own actions...."Gee THEY did IT to me" ( whatever IT might be)......NEVER "I did IT to myself........"

The Red Cross gives blood to the hospitals. The hospitals give it to people!

Back in the days of the USSR, its old KGB ran an extensive disinformation campaign to plant and sustain this lie. It later extended the propaganda to say also that the US caused the AID's virus and epidemic in Africa, as well.
