If elected president would he work on Sunday? I know its frowned upon in the Mormon religion to work on Sunday or at least thats my perception. Is thats the case, how would he be able to fulfill his duties as President, becuase I know being the President is a 7 day a week job.

I am not asking the question to discredit him as a candidate, its mainly for my own knowledge.

Members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints observe the Sabbath day. We typically do not work, go shopping, attend or participate in sporting events, etc. on Sunday. One of our apostles has frequently reminded us that the Sabbath day is a Holy day, not a holiday. It is a day that we dedicate to the Lord by going to church, spending time with our families, doing kind deeds to others, ect.

I have chosen a profession in which I will not have to work on Sunday. There are members of the church, however, who are doctors, work in law enforcement, the military or in other areas that may require them to work on Sunday. These members attend to their church meetings and duties as best as possible and then try to keep the spirit with them throughout the day. My guess is that Mitt Romney would do the same.

Mormons try to avoid working on Sunday if possible, but certain professions are exempt. For example, of course doctors need to work on Sunday, as do firemen, policemen, nurses, etc. Clearly being the leader of the free world would be one of those jobs that requires 7-day-a-week involvement.

Romney, like Bush, is about as Christian as Bill clinton. It's a game politicians play. Say Jesus, be seen at church, and promise to elect judges that will overturn RoeVs. Wade. There are no Christian politicians....just pretenders manipulating the sheep. That said, I doubt Romeney would mind working on Sunday in spite of Mormon belief and I doubt that the Mormons would care.

On the other hand, there is another church in the U.S. that has been pointing to an expected mandatory Subday sabbath in the U.S. as the mark of the beast. Maybe Romney or Huckabee will make everyone observe a Sunday sabbath and prove the Seveth Day Adventists right.

Read Numbers 15: 32-34 and see how God feels about working on Sunday.

That is the heart-warming story of a guy out gathering sticks, I suppose for his fire. However, he made the big mistake of doing it on the sabbath day.

The Jews busted him doing it and God said to Moses "stone the guy to death."

So they did.

Now, that's the kind of God I want - one that doesn't take any BS from anybody for any reason and is completely merciless in a cruel way. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

If I was Mitt, I would just lay on the couch in my PJ's all day Sunday and watch football on TV.

Mitt Romney will remain as Mormon but he promised that Americans must not treat nationalities of other countries in order to have faith to their leasers.

In public office, you have to work Sunday. There is no way around it.

Not sure, but I think that he would take the ox out of the ditch if he had to.

(on second glimpse, he's Mormon... so i really don't know, part of me thought that they go to church on Saturday...)
