No way, this is not the right attitude at all.
The reason I have this life is because of my higher power...whether or not that is god or something else to some people...well, that's on them..
I feel as though my life is a gift and I am lucky to have it...
My problem is that sometimes I care more about others and what they're going through than I do myself...not a good thing to do over and over again either...
Yeah, I take an inventory, quite often...and as the years pass, that end result is getting better and better...too bad it's not that way for all.

I do each sometimes take an entire and frank inventory of my existence, understanding that some day the Almighty Auditor Of All issues will inquire from me questions on the subject of my shortages and overages. the place i will coach corrections and measures taken to sidestep issues i'm hoping to redeem myself. although the great Redeemer is likewise the great Auditor and that i'm ultimately at his mercy and rather not deserving of his know-how and style. I even have been urged and warranted that if I combat the solid combat and make an earnest attempt that even however i visit fall way in need of ideal , the prize would be mine because of the fact I made the attempt even however i did not stay as much as the regularly occurring ideal company practices interior the employer Manuel that all of us understand because of the fact the Bible.

Yes, on occasion i go off somewhere i won't be disturbed for a couple of days and think things through. I'm sure a lot of people do that, for example my wife does.

Concerning "it's my life, I will live it the way I want to", i believe a little meditation on this thought would lead to the conclusion that true happiness can only be achieved through kindness to others and the world, and anything else is superficial, so living one's life the way one wants to, if that means happiness, always involves compassion.

I'm as fun loving and free spirited as anyone else...but without introspection and spirtual regeneration, I don't think there can be any real "love of life". Hedonism only gives the illusion of fulfillment. It's false because there is a constant need to pursue it. Life then becomes one big scramble to get to the next "experience" before the effects of the last one wears off. Spiritual fulfillment is within you always...all you have to do to experience it is to "be".

i work graveyards 11pm to 7am and since its not very far i choose to walk to and from work. I take that time every night to thank God for all my blessings and to fill me up with his love so I have a good night at work. on my way home i also give thanks for all i'm blessed with and to thank him for the wonderful life he has bestowed upon me. But I also have the attitude of it is my life and I will live it the way I want to. Its my choice to live it good or bad. i also have to deal with whatever repercussions come with that. Its part of being an adult.

I think everyone needs a time to look back on what has gone on in their lives and reflect on what is to be. You need to get to know yourself. and what works for you in your life. It isn't selfish, it is just making you life better for your and by doing that to make it better for the people around you.
