Not all year 'round. The "desert southwest" here in the USA often sees daytime temperatures in the mid-twenties in January and February, and in the early morning hours, I've seen temps in the single digits in El Paso, Texas...definitely desert country!

Depends if you include the Arctic and Antarctic as deserts, which some definitions do.
