Children.

It's hard to explain, but your children are a part of you.

You created them... they came out of you.

So they automatically have that unbreakable bond with you.

Now... with the husband.

They can be the greatest things in the world.

But if not... they can break your heart and betray you and cheat you.

Besides... husbands can always, always be replaced. :]

Children... cannot.

the ideal state would be both -
it's a similar question to the one you might have raised too, among your 100 questions of this weekend: Who would you love more, a child you raised for 10 yrs (but is not your own, because it was accidentally exchanged in the hospital) or your own who was raised in another family during that time?

By the way: Did you read or see: The purple rivers? (in German it's : Die purpurnen Flüsse)

Both, but it is a different sort of love. However I love them all completely and without prejudice. It is like asking which of your children that you love more...there is no answer...a mother loves her kids completely...though loving each's individuality is different. We love our kids for who they are and we love our partner's for who they are. Each brings something different to each relationship.
