whahahahahaha my daughter is the same age and has her nose pierced and i didn't give a hoot about that one, but a tongue piercing is different girl, she wants one as well but i told her no way, not for a long time comming, those things arenot good for your teeth, your voice (she wants to be a singer) and just are nasty, i have seen too many with infections so. but hey, good luck with your moms, maybe she thinks differently, wait till she had a couple of drinks maybe that will help whahahahahaha

Well, the tounge is a little different than the nose...If she was that quick to let you get your nose pierced, do what you did before, offer to pay and bargain with whatever you'll do better or whatever, and see what she says. Personally I don't think it's necessary but I remember being a kid when that all came out and wanting it done. I didn't and I survived but, If you want it done just be honest. And also think, you don't want to push her limits on what she'll let you do too far. Or she'll end up not wanting to let you do anything. You never know it may have been really hard for her to let you get that nose piercing done, just didn't want you to rebel on her just yet and wanted to be good cop this time...Just ask once and let it go for a while, it really won't kill you to not have it done. You're not the only one in the world whose not gonna have their tounge pierced. But if you do, be careful, make sure you go for quality and cleanliness, NOT who's the cheapest in price, or this person did my friends and she's okay. Do some research, find sterile people like new addictions tattoo, they do piercings and they're a clean facility. And think of it this way this is a HOLE in your tounge, you know how much food and gunk is gonna grow in there if you don't clean it 3-4 times a day. Ewww...It's real easy to get infected and your voice is usually never the same you end up with some kind of lisp, how severe is up to your body and everything but you will get it...Just think of how many teens DIED from an infected tounge and all the complications that come along with getting your tounge pierced. Is it really worth that risk, it's not a guarantee that it will happen to you, but isn't the risk that it could enough? Is your life really worth a piece of metal in your mouth that's only going to cause, pain, infection(easy), gunk getting in there. And you gotta think ahead, whose gonna want a woman later on who has a whole in her tounge...Let's face it you're 13 you haven't found Mr. Right you probably won't for a long time...And when you're older you think a tounge ring is gonna look cool? Trust me it won't. So think is this tounge ring really this necessary, just because you want it. You have your nose pierced, isn't that enough, some kids don't even have that, can't you be happy with one hole??? Well what ever you do it's yours and your moms decision, you're not my kid, but please think about what I've said, this is one of those things that really might come back to haunt you when you're older...God Bless

13 is way too young for this piercing , wait till your older say around 16 at least . then you know you want it for sure and are ready to take care of it and deal with it.
i personally don't think anyone under 15 should get a tongue piercing .

Leave your toungue for tasting your mother 's good food. Even a nose stud does not look nice on some noses. Be content with what you have done. If it gets unscrewed, you end up on a operating table.

I wouldn't get your tounge pierced at all personally. I've had friends who have their tounge pierced, and they said it hurts far more than other piercings.
Also, it messes up your speech.
