What an interesting election choice for our American Allies.
http://www.mormonbeliefs.org/
Mitt Romney promises to defend religious freedom. QUOTE "If I am fortunate to become your president, I will serve no one religion, no one group, no one cause, and no one interest," he said. "A president must serve only the common cause of the people of the United States."
Yet... QUOTE "Mormons believe that Joseph Smith restored the true church on the earth."
Hmmm "Mr Romney stressed that, like Kennedy, he was "an American running for president" who would not define his candidacy by religion."
Allegedly, " Mr Romney resisted making this speech for some time, but he has now made his pitch by claiming, in essence, that Americans need not feel uncomfortable. "

Can YOU put YOUR faith in Mitt Romney to be the next President of the United States?

Kennedy said,' I am an American running for president'.
He didn't say 'I'm a Catholic running for president'.
As a non American, I think it should not make any difference whatsover whether the next president is black or white, male or female, Mormon, Catholic, Anglican or atheist, as long as he leads his/her country well.

You do know that Hilary Clinton was up for president not Sarah Palin? I mean why is she the one you mention in you question? Plus the decision of who would be president was made before America even voted, because if the real people in power had wanted a woman president there would have been one, but they wanted a black one this time so there you go.

Dont trust the politicians, But regardless of Race or Sex, anyone should be able to govern if they are convincingly capable, just don't let religion run the world. Its not all it has cracked up to be in this modern world.
It is felt religion is the main reason we have many problems in the world today because people are basing their actions on faith, and unfortunately justifying their faith as pure and the only one to follow without respecting the views of others. However you can not oppress one culture/religion to suit another, there has to be balance, so you need a leader who will be all for one and one for all!
That's the answer get Dartanian to run your country! :)

Yes, go Mitt!
As far as I know, no Mormon doctrine came from Mitt. Although I believe Mormons have good truth.

Only America is so free that this could be. Actually, of all the weak candidates running, IMO, Romney is the least weak.

I care how he would run the country, not where he goes on Sunday's.
My faith is in God, not the President.

i presonally believe religion should be separate from politics. how can someone who believes a guy turned water to wine, then was nailed to a cross, was stabbed in the side, died and came back to life. fit to run a country?

I don't have a problem with his Faith... I just have no 'faith' in his problem-solving abilities. He keeps changing his mind on really important stuff whenever it's politically expedient to do so. You either HAVE values and convictions, or you DON'T.
