Yes. It finally happened in Basketball where a ref was caught cheating. The gamblers have been involved in sports since it's existence. Players make to much money these days for Gamblers to get involved with them, so that leaves the Refs. The NFL always sides with the Refs unless the call was blatantly a trillion percent bad. Money talks and corrupts people to do things they never imagined they would do. Money makes peoples lives better in every way possible. I think it is only a matter of time before something comes out about a Ref cheating. How can we as fans expect the calls to get better when no one is allowed to point out and criticize the Refs calls without a fine attached?

It's not the refs...well kinda, I think they were getting paid behind the scenes. They saw that the Pats couldn't win against the Eagles and the Ravens, the refs had to help out, sorry Pats fans, your team really ins't as great as they seem, they just can't win by themselves, and what comes around goes around, and you'll taste that loss real soon, just watch. It'll be against a team called the Steelers, or against a team that sucks so bad, they'll be so cocky, they go into the game all cocky, and get their asses tore up! Eat that, we all know that the '72 Dolphins and the '85 Bears were among the best of the best, and the '07 Pats don't deserve it! CHEATERS!!!

Is there a question somewhere in here?

By the way, you're exactly one full week late.

Why don't you look at the NE vs. Indy game. Go back and watch some of it on Youtube. It was obvious the referees were trying to blow New England out of the water with some of the calls being made.

How stupid would the NFL have to risk any sort of officiating scandal? After what the NBA is dealing with. Besides after the while spygate thing, the last thing the commissioner wants is to hand the Lombardi trophy to Belichik.
Compare the NFL to Las Vegas. The reason you never hear about a casino getting caught fixing any sort of table games, is because they make so much money without fixing anything, that they don't want to give even the impression of cheating. The NFL is making hand over fist. Do you think they would risk that just for a big profit at the NFL Network one year?

Baltimore beat Baltimore...people who 'blame' the refs whenever a team wins or loses clearly don't understand the game of football.

If you can't see that all teams get bogus calls and lucky calls once in a while--AND that the vast majority of calls on the field are legitimate--then you're not watching. Stop jumping on the Evil Empire bandwagon.

I think IF there is a fix that Goodell has to be involved.
Normally I wouldn't even suggest such a thing but there are just too many suspicious circumstances for my tastes.

1) NO suspensions given for the cheating scandal despite a commissioner who tosses suspensions around like confetti
2) Destruction of all evidence relating to the cheating scandal and previous allegations
3) Ability to fine and punish anyone who questions the integrity of the officiating.
4) A financial motive to make the Patriots*** - Giants game so compelling that cable companies have to take it yielding a 1-2 billion dollar annual windfall for the NFL NEtwork.
5) Taking only one Patriot*** draft choice, which given past performance was guaranteed to be no better than sixth to last while letting them keep the 49er pick which was very unlikely to be any worse than sixteenth.

It wasn't the Refs that called time out, The Ravens showed what thugs they really are and imploded. The Ravens beat the Ravens. That's what happens when your coach can't control his players. The holding call was obvious so your question and statement make no sense.

There was no problem with the refs in that game. They lost it for themselves. Get over it.

It is starting to look that way more and more eh? I keep giving the benefit of the doubt to the officials, but the more games I watch the more the evidence seems to be that there is a level of corruption among the officials. Not just in Pats games, but all over to one extent or another.

the refs are not cheating, they do make mistakes, and bad calls... but to cheat, they'd have to have something to gain, which they do not.
