Both are VERY good, a lot of pros, hardly any cons for both! They both have the same latency & timing, and are both SLI-ready, EPP(Enhanced Performance Profiles). They are both the same price as well, only 2 bucks more for the Patriot.

Either is fine. However, i would pick Patriot because it's on sale with $40 mail in rebate, instead, why not buy 4GB of patriot ram :)

Check the specs for your mainboard. Some manufacturers like particular ram vendors more than others. You're more likely to get better results if the components work together, even if a less compatible alternative has higher performance.
Also, check the warranty on the ram. If one vendor has a better warranty, go with it.
Don't mix ram types. Your system will be more stable if you use all of the same type of ram chips, especially with ddr2 ram.
If you're using a 32 bit operating system, like windows xp, or certain versions of vista, there is no point in having 4 gigs of ram because the operating system can only handle 3. Having 4 gigs won't break anything, but it would be a waste of money.
