That all depends on the person..there is no one answer here.
To some, the meaning could be to get what THEY want out of it and screw everyone else...
To some, the meaning could be to do for others and the heck with themselves....
So it all depends on the person...and a lot of other factors...for instance, you have to take into consideration how some of these people are and were brought up...how they grew up as children..
Were there any life changing tragedies or events in their lives...? This could change the meaning for some people in an instance...
Are they happy inside? Do they suffer from illness or disease? Either mentally or physically?
All of these things need to be considered when answering this kind of question.
The possibilities are endless...as you can see.

Meaning and purpose are really the same. We use the word "purpose" when we speak of objects/things and use the word "meaning" when we speak of actions. Both require an intelligent plan or design.
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell
Russell was a noted 20th century mathematician, philosopher and Nobel Laureate. He was also an atheist but he was honest enough to understand that we live a purposeless existence if we are without God.
If we reject the idea of a Creator, there is no meaning. All we can do is to invent something to do and then attach great importance to that invention. The search for purpose and meaning degenerates into an exercise in self deception.
But if we accept that our Creator might exist, then He must have put our great need for purpose into our human nature in order to point us to seek Him. So our purpose is to seek God.

The meaning of life is simply to make others happy.
Some might say that the meaning of life is to be happy, but if everyone in the world made each other happy, then everyone would be happy

Life is a journey - proceeding towards destiny.
Life is a mission - we are perming the task.
Life is a game - we are playing it.
And finally biologically -
Life is a reaction between some organic compounds where the material is capable of self reproduction.

To live is the meaning of life, the purpose of life is to find the one thing that you absolutely have to do before you die, and then pursue it.

The meaning of life is life itself. It's beautiful and terrible, happy and sad, joyous and painful all at once. It's complicated and simple, dark and light and everything in between an array of color of emotions all of which make us human.
The meaning of life is life.

There is no meaning to it. The fact that it's meaningless is meaningless.
There is just life.
If you want meaning, you'll define it the way you want it to be, rather than accept it the way it is.
