All throughout my life, I have respected advices and have grown with them.

Today when we advice younger generation, they don't want to take it.

They feel that they know everything.

Yes!
Know what? I finished answering this and was about to submit what I wrote when my Internet explorer stopped working! It was an answer I was proud of myself ! Like you, when I write something it just flows out of me and once unterrupted then it is gone! Now what do I write? Let me think!

Ohh got it!

You are right! Teenagers tend to think they know everything! They actually don't know anything. Being a teenager myself I will tell you the things I used to tell elders whan they adviced me!
"Hey, you don't know the style today. See there is a gegeration difference. You don't know about the life now! We live in a different situation with more facilities and all that! We know how to live and how to take care of ourselves! You might have experience but not of this new kind of life, only that old style!"

Now a days I don't say this because you have made me realise what life is and that it is not different to what the elders had! Time dosen't change the way people deal with life! you are amazing to get through to me!
See what I used to say! That is the understanding and view of the young generation! That needs to be changed if they are to take in what elders say. People like you are well capable of it. I am the proof that you are capable of changing the false view of the young ones! My change. The way I changed! Above, I wrote what I used to say till last week. Now I don't. Only because of you my brother! I love you a lot!

I was not given a lot of advice as a kid and I have had to learn the hard way from all my mistakes I have made, so now I try to give my advice to anyone I feel it will benefit because maybe my advice will help them from making mistakes, but yes not everyone wants to take it or even listen to it...atleast I still try :)
The people I am really close to like my brothers and my best friend usually listen to my advice, so at least my advice is helping them.

If a person does something wrong it's our duty to advice them as a human, & obeying or disobeying it, is up to them, we cannot force anyone to do anything, but once when they face it & when they suffer, then they will realise that what they did was a mistake & what we told them as an advice was worth.

The reason why the younger generation dont want to take any advice is because we force them to do something, thats not what advice means...
(As if im a big grown up eldery men... lol)

I never adviced anyone yet, but if i had to do it, then i know the best way how to do it.

Cheers!

Not all kids are like this.... It is hard, if you are from a different generation, to feel like someone who is alot older than you is understanding what they are going though....

If you are speaking of teenagers, I think in any generation they all think they know what they are talking about, however we are just in the generation now where its ok to be heard .... instead of seen and not heard... We can more freely express our opinions, so it gives us liberties to ignore advice and express that which we feel...

I do think that people should be listening and interpreting others advice, but not always accepting it... It should defiantly never just be thrown out the window... Most people have interesting things to say, and the older they are the more tales they have to tell... It is up to you to listen and interpret it how you like....

You sound like you have some good advice, I would say do not waste it on people who seem like they are not listening, but I think alot of kids today are listening, they just like to act stubborn on the outside instead of polite....

At least you know you have tried your best to help someone out, and that's all you can do, and its all you can ask of yourself... the rest is up to the other person....

It takes two to tango, one to advise, and one too listen...

xo

Yes. I give advices to friends, to just anybody I think needs some bits of advice.

I am part of the younger generation and well, that's true. Most teens really think they're too smart for anything, which is not.

Younger generation tend to ignore good advice because they don't know this unstable world. They just believe and live in their artificial world (like frog and its well story). the time they realise they did not take the good advice in their life it will be too late for them.

I generally don't give advice unless it is sought for or asked.
Unsolicited advice is generally ignored by the recipient and quite often resented.
But once advice is asked for, I offer it sincerely, without reservations, frankly and backed with the experience and knowledge at my disposal.

It's your implementation (of the advise) which gets picked up by younger generation!

But there is no harm in giving the advise if some one has asked for it - which means that s/he is in a receptive mode. But I have observed that people just wanted to consolidate their answers for their convenience.
