I'm pretty bad at procrastinating, myself. Sometimes it helps to just make a list of what you want to accomplish (limit it to seven things, and stop second-guessing yourself), and then just make yourself tackle one thing. If it seems like a big job, tell yourself you're going to do it for 15 minutes -- then set a timer, and get started. You may find yourself carried away, and able to finish the whole thing. But allow yourself to quit after 15 minutes, and go to the next thing. You may find it only take 15 minutes.

If you want to get to the bottom of what is causing the procrastination, you'll need to get some self-help books, or talk to a counsellor or a therapist. Since you are still in school, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE COUNSELLING. It'll be harder to take that first step when you're out of school and have to pay for it.

Also talk to your teachers for some specific advice. Set up an appointment to talk with them, and HONOR that appointment!

I don't think putting a "lazy" label on yourself is going to help with your motivation. Instead, think of what you can do -- in fact, here's a challenge -- what can you do in the next five minutes to move yourself along? Throw away five pieces of clutter? Read one page of homework? Write three paragraphs? Now, go do it! You'll feel so much better!

And with that, I will stop procrastinating and make dinner for my kiddies.

Give yourself points every time to do a chore/homework etc. when you get 500 points and only then, you can buy a certain candy bar that you will continously lust amnd crave for in your imagination in the meantime. If it doesn't work, add ice cream.

Oh god,
I'm the same way.
People like us [basically, lazy people] have to force ourselves to do things, while getting stuff done isn't so hard for people with different personalities. All you can really do is force it. Remember that you'll feel better after you get something accomplished.

Man, i dont know but I am the exact same way! One of the WORST procrastinators. I try to keep it under control though by just making myself do the things I don't especially want to do.

Its called will power. You need to summon the stones to do what you need to do. Its part of being an adult.

It sounds harsh I know but the last thing you need is an excuse that makes your problem OK.
