One hundred percent . . . if you've got a little talent and a lot of drive, and the lucky breaks.

Actually, guitarist is a good little business. You don't have to be famous to make a living at it. Weddings need guitarists. Commercials need guitars in the background. Kids need guitar teachers. If you love the guitar, it can take care of you. Don't say no to any experience -- you never know where it will take you.

You should probably take a course in business and/or accounting, though. That will always come in handy, and can be your day job while you are still struggling.

I don't know what your chances are. If you were to make a mathematical formula to answer that question, I imagine that some factors included would be talent, charisma, blind luck, and connections, just to name a few. At any rate, chances are small. They are for everyone. What you can do now to get your name out there: start a band, which isn't hard to do. Find people from your school who play instruments, or advertise on Craigslist for other musicians. Also, set up a Youtube channel. Make/find a friend who's good with video production, and record some videos. Never put a video on your channel unless it's really, really good. If you're lucky, one of them might go viral. Entertaining/ funny/ trippy music videos that catch people's attention could help you out a lot. And, they're not as hard to make or expensive as you may think, if you're creative. In the meantime, find guitarists to be personal heroes. What do you have to offer the world? What do you want to offer the world? Looking at the work of Les Paul, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, etc. could help you out a lot in finding your own sound. As you say, you're only 15. You have plenty of time to evolve as an artist.

The person above me has no idea what she is talking about. She is just being motivative. You came here for a true answer, so I'll give it to you. Honestly, like anyone else would say, your chances are slim to none. It won't happen, sorry. Just continue to play the guitar if that's what you like. You just have to understand that there are millions of people just like you, who play just as much as you, and have the same dreams as you.
