Wow, aren't the Democrats great? First Al Gore invents the internet, now Kerry gets NFL Network on basic cable.

If this is true, Kerry simply figures that the market will eventually get NFL network on basic cable, but he wants to say that it was because of his efforts on behalf of the "little people".

The NFL network is available on cable, just not in the basic package... cable companies don't want the NFL network in the basic package because, other than the 8 or so games per year the Network does, their programming is total crap. Endless reruns of combines and training camps.

Even when the NFL network rebroadcast some of the old Super Bowl games, they even screwed that up by not re-running the entire game. They rebroadcast Super Bowl XIII (Steelers 35 Cowboys 31) and left out the Steelers two minute drive to end the first half (Blier's TD), and picked up the broadcast after the commercial about 10 minutes into the 3rd quarter...

But no, I don't love John Kerry...and gawd, his wife if fugly.

That leaves a lot of questions to be Answered. He is working on getting free NFL network on cable TV for anyone with cable or for himself???

Maybe he figures that this is an issue both republicans and democrats can agree.

No and if you think that the NFL Network on cable is free, then you probably think that welfare doesn't cost the average tazpayer anything or that Democrats are honest politicians and you probably voted for Teddy Kennedy (arguably the worst politician ever). By the way, ever channel that is carried on a cable network costs the cable network money and that cost is in turn shared with the cable customer. Oh, yeah, all politicians are corrupt and they steal your money for their own home state.

I wouldn't like John Kerry if he got me free cable with all the premium channels. To me anybody that throws their Purple Heart medals into a crowd at a protest rally probably didn't deserve them in the first place. He probably got a paper cut or something like that to get them awarded to him in the first place.

John Kerry is a typical politician sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong. Don't these jerk politicians realize we have more important problems than NFL channel access? When a politician tells you something is free, hold onto your wallet because you will pay for it.

It's clowns like this who have given us a bloated, out of control, budget driving the country straight to bankruptcy while he is whining about a football game.

If he wants a real historic event why doesn't he try cutting spending for a change?

You mean the guy who voted for it before he voted against it?
How in the world would you ever believe some one like this?
