if someone pokes you and you do/ don't poke back, what does it mean?

It is a playful gesture as if you were poked in real life. "hey how are ya?" or "look at me"

It just means you poke them. Just like if you walked up to someone at the grocery store and took your finger and poked them. It's a way of saying hello to your friends on Facebook. Once you poke someone, they have the option of poking you back or ignoring your poke.

Poking is nothing untill it get out of hand ...like a joke it might be funny once , twice , maybe three times but if someone pokes you day in day out it not funny anymore!!
