As far as accomplishments, I think he failed horrendously.
But as a president, he does care about this country. I never once doubted that he wanted to help the country. I don't doubt his motives, just his ability. He wants to help, but doesn't seem to see how he is hurting America. That or he feels he would do more damage to admit he messed up and try to change course.
But I have never seen anyone who cared more, at least in my opinion. Others may have done better, but no one ever cared more than George Bush. He would have done much better though if he had surrounded himself with advisers who weren't out for their own power. They worked to give Bush more power than ever, mostly because they got to share in that power.
When Colin Powell tried to make him more moderate, those other voices in the President's cabinet combined to convince the President to get rid of the one person who would have been his most valuable adviser. Had Colin Powell stayed, I believe everyone would have considered George Bush to be a good president (both in love for the country and in policies). Too bad Powell was forced to leave, it was very bad for Bush and very bad for America.

I do think G.W. Bush is a good president, not because I agree with everything he has done, but more importantly, that he has not once lied to the American people, and has stuck to his agenda. Unlike some other presidents like the previous one that was known among the informed, as a poll president. Mr. Clinton, before a speech, would read the latest poll to keep his popularity rating high and not caring about the content as long as it sounded good. Yeah, his ratings were at 60% a lot. Thanks to a media who has no interest in challenging the democrats on anything, but only on occasion when it suited them as they knew it would not last long in the public's eye.
Bush on the other hand has a popularity ratings that are twice that of the beloved senate who’s ratings are in the hopper. The press will not harp on that point at all.
I liked some of the things that he has done in his tenure. His tax cuts have made the economy strong and kept inflation under control. His stance on terror has been firm, and there has been no attacks on our home land ever since we invaded and took out Saddam Hussein from his rein of terror. The social issues on social security, I did not agree with, but YES is the answer to your question. He is not a conservative but I still do respect him and think that he is a good man.

The Iraq War has been a great success.
The economy is roaring along and making Americans a lot of money.
All four of the Axis of Evil countries have capitulated to American demands.
For the first time since Reagan, American credibility has reached a high point. People all over the world now realize that we'll back up our promises to our allies as well as to our enemies.
Yes, I realize that this is not what you hear in the news, but hopefully you have other sources of information. If the news is all you have, you're in a sad state of affairs. A lobotomy would be preferable.

The people who think so are truly "out there".
To give Bush his due, he is the most HILARIOUS president to watch since Nixon. Whereas Nixon looked extraordinarily shifty and devious, Bush manages to look extraordinarily stupid. The combination of the "deer in the headlights" look with the smirk, slack jaw, malapropisms, bungled exits and/or tossing his cookies is just priceless.
My favorite (so far) is his "Reliable information... that they were trying to buy uranium... from AFRICA". Got to hand it to him for playing on his base's "darkest" fears. And no matter how much his BS is exposed, he just keeps piling it on!
Or was it, "Those responsible will be taken care of" -- and they were, by cracky, given the Medal of Freedom, a pardon -- you know, "taken care of". George knows how to "take are of" misconduct in the Executive Branch.
Don't let the worstest for the longest ratings get you down, George! Remember, you're Harry Truman... only, didn't he famously say "The buck stops here", not "those responsible will be taken care of"?

uncertain !! it style of feels such a waste to take a place lots of our time and money to tutor a guy to the presidency and then turn him out to pasture. inspite of the undeniable fact that, on the different hand our lawmakers observed in fantastic condition to shrink the words of the presidency. The inequity of it incredibly is, they did no longer see in fantastic condition to shrink the term of all elected officers. subsequently, evidently that our legislature exceeded discriminatory legislations against the utmost workplace interior the land. Our lawmakers constantly conceal in the back of the previous bull of "The framers of our constirution meant". returned that's in simple terms used to throw BS on something they're frightened of. One useful element is that the framers of the form by no skill envisioned complete time politicians. of direction, Thomas Jefferson maximum in all danger did no longer envision the internet the two. Incidentially, i might prefer to be conscious term limits to federal judges, which comprise the acceptable courtroom. that's with regards to the only job interior the U. S. the place you won't be in a position to be fired, voted out of workplace, or bumped off by any skill. As for George W. Bush, finding at what's waiting interior the wings definite i might conform to have him serve yet another term. the present slate of applicants in simple terms truthfully scares the hell out of me. (the two events)

There are people that do support him. List of accomplishments, the problem with that is if you were to list an accomplishment, there would be a ton of people out to disprove that it was an actual accomplishment. But to me the stock market hitting its highest high, was a pretty decent accomplishment.

There are millions. You can look up his accomplishments by reading the news, if you're able to weed out the false criticisms and get to the facts. If you aren't able to be intellectually honest enough to do that, don't waste your time.

I don't... but I do give him credit for the Do not call list and tax breaks for the wealthy.
Those poor CEO's were just struggling! Why if it weren't for Bush the rich may have had to finance the infrastructure that gives them their wealth and that's the job of the middle/lower classes
