solve for what?
expand: FOIL
25b^2 - 30b + 30b - 36
= 25b^2 - 36
if the equation was (5b+6)(5b-6) = 0 then
5b+6 = 0; b = -6/5
5b-6 = 0; b = 6/5

FOIL
First- 5b x 5b= 25b squared
Outside- 5b x -6= -30b
Inside- 6 x 5b= 30b
Last- 6 x (-6)= -36
So... 25b^2-30b+30b-36
25b^2-36
you just missed the squared part :o)

Use FOIL.
(5b + 6)(5b - 6)
25b² - 30b + 30b - 36
25b² - 36
I think u forgot 2 include the exponent in the first figure in the binomial.

to solve you expand the brackets so you multiply together the first part of the first bracket with the first part of the second bracket and then again with the second part of the second bracket, and then the same again with the second part of the first bracket
(5b+6)(5b-6)=25b^2-30b+30b-36=25b^2-36

Simplifying
(5b + 6)(5b + -6)
Reorder the terms:
(6 + 5b)(5b + -6)
Reorder the terms:
(6 + 5b)(-6 + 5b)
Multiply (6 + 5b) * (-6 + 5b)
(6(-6 + 5b) + 5b * (-6 + 5b))
((-6 * 6 + 5b * 6) + 5b * (-6 + 5b))
((-36 + 30b) + 5b * (-6 + 5b))
(-36 + 30b + (-6 * 5b + 5b * 5b))
(-36 + 30b + (-30b + 25b^2))
Combine like terms: 30b + -30b = 0
(-36 + 0 + 25b^2)
(-36 + 25b^2)

its a special product. if its a sum and difference of two binomials (a + b)(a - b), your answer should be difference of two squares --> a^2 - b^2.
(5b+6)(5b-6)
=(5b)^2 - (6)^2
=25b^2 - 36

you do foil (first, outside, inside, last)
5b x 5b = 25b squared
5b x (-6)= -30b
5b x 6 = 30b
6 x (-6) = -36
so... 25b squared - 36. you just missed the squared.

(5b+6)(5b-6)
= [5b*5b]+[6*5b]-[6*5b]-[6*6]
= 25b^2 + 0 - 36
= 25b^2 -36
your answer was almost right.. but there is "b squared".

no. you are incorrect. here's why:
(5b+6)(5b-6)
25b^2-30b+30b-36
25b^2-36
so the correct answer is: 25b^2-36.
hope it helped!! (:
