I think it's a boys name but I've known many girls with boys name like Sam, Nicky, Marquee, Ares and Shawn. There some boys too carrying a girls name Mandy, Cecil, Avril and Mari. I think the name Addison is too masculine.

You might want to think about how she will be treated by other kids, ya know what I mean, Allison is a pretty girls name though. The only Addison I ever heard of ,was a male, but in today's ways ,it's just whatever.

I think it is awesome! It has a unique spin on the traditional 'Madison', so she probably won't have other classmates with the same name. I don't think it sounds like a boys' name at all. Actually, I think it fits if the child is a girly-girl or a tomboy. The only problems she may have is with other people spelling it. But otherwise, it's a GREAT name. 9/10 stars!

I'm sorry. I like the old fashioned names like Sarah, Elizabeth, Emily, and Emma. Addison sounds like a last name. I have a friend who named her little girl Kennedy and that's just weird.

I happen to like it. A lot of names can be used for both sexes. Why not Addison?

Addison is a good name. But if we split the name we can write as Addi+son. Since the word 'son' comes it does not show feminism.

My boyfriend's mom loves that name. She was pushing her other son and his wife to name their first baby that for a girl. Thank God it was a boy. She wanted a girl. Personally I don't care for it, but if you really like it, go for it. But maybe you should keep looking. Perhaps Madison would be a nice name?
