14 and it sucked! Have your doctor test for immunity- they can do a blood test to see if you are immune- and if you are not then get the immunization. You don't want the chicken pox as an adult.

Heres my story:

i got them only when i was 4. And im 13 now. When i was 11, i had the vaccine again because you should always have the vaccine. My immune system is really good and thought that it was an intruder because it destroys things unknown for my body .So i got the vaccine and a few days later i got the chicken pox AGAIN. since i was only four, i forgot how annoying they are...
ok.. since you havn'et had them, if you get them . DO NOT TAKE ASPRIN FOR THE HEADACHES BECAUSE IT COULD GET YOU REYE'S SYNDROME which is a disease that could kill you, becasue you are still releatively young.

Maybe you got vaccinated when you were young. I got vaccinated when I was 10. Never had the chicken pox.

I've never had them either, yet all my kids got them, each when they were about 4yrs.(They caught them at Kinder.) I had all my shots b4 we came to Australia. The only thing i've had is measles. No scars for me,thank goodness. The kids only got a few, mainly on their arms & legs.Strange though that the kids got them, even after their shots.I guess it made them less severe.

I was sixteen years old when I got it. I had to be hospitalised. If you haven't gotten the vaccine, get it soon because the older you get it the worse it is.
