Hi all,

Last night i tested to see if I was pregnant. I used a Tesco pregnancy test, and got a very faint line which vanished after 10 minutes. I've checked the test again this morning, the line is still gone. Should I re-test? If so, should I try ClearBlue?

Edit: Thank you all very much so far. I am about 6 days late. I am usually on time, it's weird that I haven't had a period. I haven't noticed any "pregnant" symptoms apart from my missing period.

Most tests say that results are not accurate after 10 minutes. Wait a couple of days and use your first morning urine (it has more of the hormone HGC which is what the tests measure). I have not heard that any tests are more accurate than others. I bought the cheap Wal-Mart brand, and they were right--I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant :).

Good luck!

I use first response and it says that a positive will stay positive for 24 hours and a negative result should not be read after 10 min. I used clearblue also, digital and plain, both worked fine for me too. I liked the digital because for 24 hours it said "pregnant" and i was amused by it.

Re-test. I've heard different things about clearblue, but go ahead and try it. Good luck!

I would wait for another day to test if you are expecting your period around this time? And maybe consider another brand to test as the pregnancy kit you have may not be a reliable brand?

Try another test of a different brand. You can even get them from the dollar store and they are normally pretty good. You may have gotten a faulty one and that is why it did that. Just retest and see what happens.
