People usually use this expression to describe when they are falling for someone. For example if you just began to date someone and felt like you really liked them alot...you might say you are falling hard and fast. It basically means you are falling in love, like, lust ( whatever) quickly.

It means that you are falling in love with someone way too fast/soon, which will lead to a heartache later. I have learned this the hard way--especially in my last relationship that ended in less than two years after he cheated on me and kicked me out--after he promised to marry and take care of me! The best thing to do is to slow WAY down, take your time to get to know the other person really well and for them to get to know you really well before having any kind of an intimate relationship. When falling for someone too fast, you don't see the true person you are with, only the good things they are showing you to get you to stay with them or to impress you. As I learned, being with someone for a long time before starting a relationship other than friendship is best. That way, you get to see more of the real person, their good and bad qualities, what they are truly like towards you and others, etc. Don't just listen to your heart and don't let someone tell you it won't steer you wrong because it will, even when your head or gut says that something is wrong. Listen to your gut feelings and your head when you feel like you are falling for someone. They will tell you more of what is truly going on rather than your heart since it is your heart that is falling for the false person this person is portraying to you.

In love, it basically means getting emotional and physically invovled with someone before really getting to know them. It's like blindly loving someone for seemingly no reason. This is usually a codependent behavior that is often paired with trying to fix someone, people-pleasing, being drawn to toxic people or trying to escape reality. Other examples are one-night stands, infatuated states and obsession.

it means she is a dangerous woman who might end up having my heart in her hands, and that would scare the hell out of me.....but I hope it happens some day.

You need to listen to your instincts and conscious as much as your heart.

Good luck.
