Duct tape is the dependable tape. When every other types of tape are tried and fail, use duct tape and finally get the job done. Why I've even seen it used in place of hand cuffs on TV.So that's going the extra mile in servicability. I have used it primarily for taping boxes before moving to another residence. Traveling a few states away, it's very important that boxes remain closed for the entire trip, and are secured. Another good use, is hanging up Christmas lights around a window, when the cold glass will make any adhesive tape loose, and the heavier lights come falling down. Taping garland along a bannister is another good use for it as well. It will hang just about anything, for the holidays, and you can depend on it to remain hung until you want to take it down.

It is the greatest invention known to my household! It has held leaky pipes, broken fences, a broken ankle, my son to a wall, a tipsy Christmas tree, hockey sticks, and many other things that needed holding up or together until the correct solution could be applied! I have a shirt that says "Silence is golden, duck tape is silver". I choose silver!

My friend waxes her leg with duct tape, and it works really good, and doesn't hurt. I only do that when I wear shorts though...
