I've been a knick fan ever since the most hated trade of rod strickland. in the 90's , we came close to winning a championship against the rockets but we didn't. To me, that's okay because you know why? knicks in the 90's played wonderful basketball. Pat ewing, charles oakley, anthony mason, john starks, derek harper.. you dare try to come down the lane against them and you'll be leaving on a stretcher! The Knicks now, nauseating, disgusting, emabarassing basketball. You lose back to back games aginst the 76 ers aka the 86ers you don't deserve to be called a basketball team. I'm not downplaying philly's talent they dre miller, iguodala, and dalembert, but the matchup on paper against the knicks, they should blow em out right ? wrong! How bout the knicks lose by almost 25 point against a 6-12 team! to all knicks fan who bought tickets , get your money back please, unless you rooting fo the other team!

I go back just a little further than you as a diehard Knicks fan -- 1969. So I remember the glory days of Reed, Frazier, Debusschere, Bradley, and later, Earl the Pearl. I saw some terrible teams in the late 70s, but it was always kind of fun. Of course, I think fondly back on the Williams/Richardson years, and especially the Ewing/Oakley /Starks years.

This team is both terrible and terribly unentertaining. Marbury can't lead and was never really a point guard to begin with. Crawford is an inconsistent scorer at best. Richardson is in his declining years. Curry and Randolph can't play together in the low post and have little defensive presence. Robinson,Lee and Balkman would be fine bench players on a team with a decent starting five. What I would do? First, get rid of Thomas. Second, acknowledge that you're a rebuilding team waiting for certain contracts to expire so that you can sign free agents and go after draft picks. If you can package Marbury and Curry together for someone decent -- don't even hesitate (I'm not sure this is even possible under the salary cap).

Anyway, let's hope for better times, and that the Knicks could at least have enough pride to win 35 games, which shouldn't be too hard given all the crappy Eastern Conference teams they play.
