It is but not within city limits. Prostitution is only allowed outside of the Las Vegas city limits.

Buying sex is not legal in Las Vegas. Calling an escort is legal but the money exchanged is for the girls time, anything else that may happen is between two consenting adults.
The bunny ranch is not in Las Vegas, it's more than an 8 hour drive away up in Reno. Closer to Vegas are the chicken ranch, and sheri's. They're about an hour away and quite expensive.
For real escort information (not prostitutes!) you should try the website www.lvfever.com

Not in Las Vegas. Prostitution is illegal in Clark County, which is where Las Vegas is. The nearest legal brothel is in Pahrump, about 90 miles away.
BTW - you never know if that female escort you're calling on is an undercover vice cop. So, if you do it, know a good lawyer.

Believe it or not, it is illegal to solicit prostitution within the city limits of Las Vegas (whether you get caught is another matter). You would have to travel about an hour outside the city to any number of the famous "ranches" you hear about. These are the only legal brothels that are licensed and regulated by the state of Nevada.

There is a chance that you won't get caught, but you shouldn't all be heading up to the room together if possible. Housekeeping might catch on - sometimes their paperwork shows the occupancy of the rooms, and sometimes not. If so, they will definitely catch on quickly and may report you. If you don't make any trouble, and you aren't obvious about all going up together, then you may be able to work it out. From the Venetian site on extra people: "At what age do you charge for additional guests? All rates are based on single or double occupancy. For any additional guests over the age of 12, a fee of $35 per person is charged ($50 for the Concierge Level) up to a maximum of 4 persons per suite." So they could catch you on 2 things - not paying for additional guests over 2, and for having more than 4 in a room. They could kick you out, but hopefully they'd just make you pay for another room.

Nevada brothels
In the United States, the only state where brothels are legal is Nevada (see List of brothels in Nevada). Brothels are allowed in counties with populations of less than 400,000 inhabitants, and not all qualifying counties have allowed them. County governments license and regulate brothels within their boundaries. The brothels and their employees have to register with the county sheriff and receive regular medical checkups. Brothels have existed in Nevada since the old mining days of the 1800s and were first licensed in 1971. As of 2007, thirty brothels existed in Nevada. The legendary Mustang Ranch operated from 1971 through 1999, when it was forfeited to the federal government following a series of convictions for tax fraud, racketeering, and other crimes.
Due to the county population rule, all forms of prostitution are illegal in Reno and Las Vegas, and prostitution not occurring in a licensed brothel is illegal anywhere in Nevada.

No not 'Legal' but if you check the phone book here in Vegas you can't tell. There are escort agencies or discreet entertainers who are not going to advertise that bit of info of course, but it is everywhere.
