1. He will start to end the Iraq War, strategically and intelligently. He has been against this needless war from the very beginning.
2. He will work to fix our broken health care system (giving health care to all that want it/ need it) while keeping the quality of health care available high.
3. He will keep fat cat $ and special interest lobbyists out of Washington D.C., giving the power back to the people of this nation.
4. He will improve our education system, so every American can receive a quality education.
5. He is the most honest, trustworthy candidate running.
6. He is for the People of this country - NOT for $ or his own ego

He was against the war from the very beginning. He wants to initiate meetings with the leaders of so-called "evil" countries so that we can learn to co-exist. He's trying to move away from lobbyists and big businesses running the country and towards more transparency in government. Those are all different from most candidates.

Also just from listening to him he seems a lot more open and honest than Hillary. He's actually willing to give straight answers, such as when he explained that he did try some drugs when he was younger and when he explained that he doesn't wear an American flag pin because it's used as a replacement for true patriotism. Listen to one of his speeches and you'll hear the enthusiasm and the passion he has for taking the country in a new direction.

I can't.. so much of what he advocates conflicts with his actual voting record. He spoke out against the Patriot Act then voted in favor of reauthorizing it, he cannot commit to withdrawing the troops out of Iraq by 2013, possibly later.. He hasn't ruled out using strikes against Iran, not to mention the same vote he criticizes Hillary for, he missed himself and sponsored the exact same legislation designating the IRG a terrorist organization in back in April.. He implied that he would invade Pakistan, without the consent of their government.. He made votes making it more difficult for average citizens to sue big corporations.. He has no consistency on the issues of social security and taxes, in the very beginning he was for raising the cap, then having all options on the table, then appointing a bipartisan commission, now he's back to raising the cap.. He receives contributions from lobbyists, corporations and interest groups, despite his denials..He promises "change" but he has neither the substance, the experience, nor desire to deliver this change..

I personally am a republican voter who is backing Obama. I like Obama because he is a man of integrity. He can proudly say that he was opposed to the Iraq war from the start and can back it up with his voting record. I also like his "lack of experience" because I think it will grant him a fresh perspective and give him the ability to run this country the way it was supposed to be run, by a common joe, not a career politician with political baggage dragged over from Washington.

He is also a front-runner for the democrats, so you can be assured that your voting for him will not be a waste as opposed to votes for candidates who have no change (e.g. Ron Paul). Speaking of Paul, I also believe that Obama is the only candidate who is not only advocating for a new direction for America, but plans on changing our direction in a responsible way and working with both sides of the political spectrum.

These are just some of the reasons I am supporting him. I strongly advise you to also do your own objective research instead of taking what people say here at face value. Obama is my favoured candidate - is he yours? :D

He's a very good smart guy.

He was against the Iraq War since before it began. (He made a beautiful speech where he said: "I am not opposed to all wars; I am opposed to dumb wars")

He has a great plan for affordable universal healthcare.

He is THE candidate that will change this countries direction for the better. He is a young visionary with many great ideas.

First, look into the stuff I told you. Do all the research before you make a decision.

And then you will find out that you should vote for Barack Obama.

Obama has the music in his words and because of that he is persuasive. He is a great communicator whose time has come. We need a new type of leadership. Compassion, understanding, educated, awareness and responsibile leadership is what we need, and Obama is all about those qualities and qualifications.

Like the others I agree you should decide on your own.

However if you are asking opinions?

Please consider Ron Paul and join us in the revolution.
America has slowly become more and more corrupt.
When we borrow millions daily from Japan, and China there is a problem.

Every other candidate has been bought out
Roosevelt told us this would happen in his final address.
We must get the word out. Mainstream media is bought.
